Viktorija Trimbel, Managing Director and Vytautas Gaisrys, Project Manager at Prime Investment took part in a trade mission to Belarus on 23-25 October 2007. The mission was organized by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Lithuania), Belarusian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Lithuanian Ministry of Economy, Lithuanian Embassy in Belarus and Belarusian Embassy in Lithuania.
The mission delegation held meetings with officials of Belarus Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Minsk and Gardin city authorities and took part in a business forum where Viktorija Trimbel shared the experience on implementing projects in Belarus market.
Prime Investment has been successfully operating in Belarus for 8 years already. Major projects include attraction of European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) investment into Olivaria, the second largest brewery in Belarus, in 2005. This was the first M&A deal in Belarus closed with participation of professional investment bankers. Rimvydas Baranauskas, former Director of Prime Investment led the transaction and was awarded with “Businessman of the Year” nomination by popular analytical magazine.
In 2006 Prime Investment organized and led an international tender for investment into Olivaria. The tender, which generated huge interest from international beer market players, was won by Baltic Beverage Holding (Sweeden) that is owned by Carlsberg and Scottish & Newcastle.
